Beautiful sunny blue sky day . . .all quiet in the city . . . .still so much snow I wish we had a sleigh and a horse to go about things . . . .

the stories my grandmother Ritchie would tell me about growing up in Trois-Rivières  Québec .

Trois-Rivières  is a city  located at the confluence of the Saint-Maurice and Saint Lawrence Rivers. It is  on the north shore of the Saint Lawrence River across from the city of Bécancour. It is is approximately halfway between Montreal and Quebec City. Trois-Rivières  was founded on July 4, 1634, the second permanent settlement in New France,^[7] after Quebec City in 1608.
