Stream Hand-Tufted Wool Rug

The series of rugs called "Pathways" are inspired by walks in the woods, on the beach and in the garden. They transform your home into inspiring spaces that remind us of our favorite places in nature and times spent there. Stream is inspired by the water on the shore rolling back into the ocean, carving curvy lines in the sand around rocks and shells as it flows by. Made with 100% New Zealand Wool. Cut and loop pile.

This rug is  TUFTED  and gives a totally different texture to a HOOKED RUG . .. .or a PUNCHED RUG !


It is  sort of punched into the backing or foundation cloth as in this diagram here to the right -then the loops are cut giving it all a rather smooth look . . .and more machine made than a hand hooked rug .All a personal choice  I guess as to what one finds 
pleasing.
Personally for me  its a hand hooked look  TEXTURE that I love in my own rugs. . . . as it is  so  much more hand hooked and crude compared to this tufted texture look !
What I really  like  though, in this rug, is the design and creative spirit and its connection to nature . . .. and it is really inspiring!
