ROCK CLIMBING NOVA SCOTIA

MOUNT SHUBAEL ,on Digby NECK
(yes this is the correct SPELLING- not Shubel nor Shubul)

Although called a MOUNT it is really a large ROCK of Basalt left by the Glaciers millions of years ago . . .

This summer we realized that it has been advertised in rock climbing tourist books as a place to go for the sport of CLIMBING ROCKS in Nova Scotia . . . . . .
one problem . . .
IT is located in our back yard in NOVA SCOTIA!!!
oops . . .on private property . . .therefore its now posted  . . but the view is  wonderful and worth the 5 min. walking trail climb. . . .

  1. What a spectacular view from up there. Do you know how high this mountain is?

My daughter who lives in Scotland climbs mountains a lot but she mostly climbs munros. Munros are Scottish mountains that are more than 914 meters high. There are 283 munros in Scotland and my daughter has climbed all of them by now because the last time I heard from her she had 3 left to climb and she was on her way to check them off her list. JB
