MERMAIDS rugs-La SIRENE

I am not sure where I was yesterday but realize I missed writing here .  .the day slipped by somehow . . . . .
I like these  2 mermaids although one looks like a King or a Queen . . .does it matter?I think not. . . .  The darks and lights are evenly distributed and in an unusual manner . . . is it moonlight on the water that takes out the blues?This is  a work of art from Art BRUT-Folk Art magazine which I love looking at . . .what is the focal point here?
